Test Preparation in Maryland

The test prep process can be intimidating, even overwhelming, but with the help of our expert tutors, the materials can be broken down and mastered, confidence gained and your student will soon be on the road to success.

Total Tutoring Services provides knowledgeable and experienced tutors and the individualized attention necessary to help students develop the skills to successfully navigate and perform well on standardized tests.  Our test preparation program helps students learn invaluable test taking skills that will last a lifetime.

We provide tutoring for standardized tests including: SAT I & SAT II Subject Tests, ACT, AP, PSAT, ISEE, HSPT, ASVAB, GED & GRE exams.  

One-on-One Test Prep
One-on-one test preparation allows your student the opportunity of working with an experienced instructor who can tailor each and every lesson to meet their academic needs.  Our tutors will informally assess your student throughout the lessons as well as provide practice exams for them to complete between sessions so that the results can be evaluated and the tutor continue to tailor the instruction to ensure that each student is meeting their goals.  In addition to gaining content knowledge, our tutors will provide your student will test taking strategies and time management skills.

Small Group Prep Classes
At Total Tutoring Services we do not organize group or "classroom" tutoring, and we generally don't recommend group tutoring because of the obvious strengths of one-on-one teaching. We will, however, tutor groups of five or fewer students if the group is arranged by the client. Each student should be at a similar SAT or ACT level and, of course, have similar scheduling availability.
